The purpose of the Assemblies of God World Missions Archives, is to preserve the history of the world missions activities of The General Council of the Assemblies of God, established in 1914. This includes the personnel, development, growth, and miracles taking place overseas as documented throughout time. It is our goal to safeguard these historical materials and legal documents from around the world in one secure location.
The archives focus on collecting five different aspects of information in an effort to preserve our recorded history.
1. Internal Documentation
—appointments, transfers, resignations, some correspondence, etc.
2. Published Materials
—articles, books, obituaries, DVDs, website, etc.
3. Newsletters and Photos
—photos, newsletters in regard to ministry
4. Field Information
—articles, stories, statistics, legal documents, celebrations, etc.
5. Specialty Items
—hand written letters, wires, telegrams, field fellowship minutes, speeches, dissertations, yearbooks, prayer requests, etc.
